CAT 2014 Registrations Reopens on 10th October for 24 Hours




CAT 2014 registrations will reopen on October 10, 2014, for 24 hours. The registration window will reopen at midnight and close at 23:59 hours on October 10.  Guidelines for the same will be available on the official website from October 5, 2014.

“The registrations will re-open for 24 hours on October 10, 2014. Some candidates were unable to complete the registration process due to technical glitches. We don’t want students to suffer. Hence, at the last moment we have decided to reopen for 24 hours.” CAT 2014 convenor Professor Rohit Kapoor from IIM Indore.

Professor Kapoor also informed that the exam day guide and scaling and equating process details will be made public after final registration closes.

Due to technical glitches, CAT 2014 registrations were suspended for 15 hours from September 28 to 29.

“Various candidates were facing difficulties during the last day of submission of CAT 2014 application, i.e., on September 30, 2014, owing to failures in internet connection, net banking transactions etc. Based on the emails received from the affected candidates, we are opening the window for one day to apply and complete the registration and/or application. The one day window for applying online will be opened on Friday, 10th October 2014 from 00:00 hours to 23:59 hours. Please note that this is open for all the candidates. The guidelines for the same will be uploaded on our CAT website i.e.,www.iimcat.ac.in on Sunday, 5th October 2014,” informed the CAT centre 2014.

So far, 189759 candidates have registered for the exam, indicating a 2.5% dip in the total number as compared to last year. With the reopening, the numbers are expected to go up.
